The sky’s the limit for Josh! thumbnailJosh Crozier is delighted after his wins in two prestigious championships this summer in the 250cc class.

RATHFRILAND teenager Josh Crozier has enjoyed a summer of successes, winning two championship events in quad racing.

The 15-year-old raced in the Yamaha 250cc class this year, having previously competed in the 200cc class.

The Rathfriland High School pupil won the Ulster Championship and the Irish Championship in the 250cc class this summer.

He won the Ulster Championship last year as a 14-year-old in the 200cc category.

Josh's love of the sport takes him far and wide, with the Irish Championship finals being held in Cork.

He has also raced in Limerick, Wexford and Dublin, competing in events almost every weekend.

Josh started racing when he was just eight years old and has been hooked ever since, winning almost every championship he has entered.

While the quad racing season is over for this year, Josh is not taking his foot off the pedal and is already looking forward to next year's racing calendar, setting his sights on the next level.

His father, William told The Outlook that Josh is now aiming for wins in a higher class and next year will compete in the 450cc class.

“He is moving out of the juniors and into the adult class," said William.

“He isn't nervous and is excited about getting into in next year."

The new season will start in March next year and Josh is getting his new bike from Derby in England.

“The bike is a full race bike and will be built to spec and set up for Josh," said William.

“We would also like to thank Jonathon Wilson of J&L Race Preparation, Dromore for their help and support for Josh."
