Impressive performance from man of the match, Holloway thumbnailBanbridge Rangers’ defender, William Frazer in action against Tullyvallen in the Intermediate Cup.

BANBRIDGE Rangers progressed into the third round of the Irish FA Intermediate Cup after a 3-2 win away to Tullyvallen on Saturday.

A relatively comfortable opening hour saw the Gers go three goals up via Cousins, Brady and an OG and probably should have been more considering the dominance.

A goal on the counterattack by Tullyvallen gave them a glimmer of hope and things got interesting after a superb finish from a Tullyvallen midfielder to make it 3-2.

Coly Cousins then saw a penalty well saved by 'Vallen 'keeper McKinstry in the 81st minute after Bradley Harper was taken down.

The host's chances evaporated when Aaron Wells was sent off for stamping on Ben Wilson late on.

Man of the match was 17-year-old Matthew Holloway who was a thorn in the side of the Tullyvallen full backs all afternoon.

There were also debuts for in-form striker Bradley Harper, who is also only 17 years old and came on in the 53rd minute for Lee Feeney, while 16-year-old defender Ryan Woods made his first senior appearance, coming on as a substitute for Holloway.
