JIM McConville of Rathfriland Bowling Club has been announced as the new vice president of the Northern Ireland Bowling Association.

This is a great honour, not only for himself, but to Rathfriland Bowling Club so hearty congratulations are sent to Jim.

He was installed at the annual meeting in Belfast and will take up his duties in 2017, going round all the NIBA clubs and in 2018 he will take up the top post of president.

Jim said it was an honour to be selected and thanked Rathfriland Bowling Club for putting his name forward and no doubt Jim will fulfill his duties in 2017. They wish him every good wish as he takes up his his new vice president duties.

The members of Donaghmore Presbyterian Bowling Club would like to congratulate their past captain Jim on his appointment.

Cyril McConville, president and Margaret McGaw, club captain said this was a "great honour" for Jim and said members of Donaghmore Presbyterian Bowling Club wished him good health in his term of office.
