Down Celebrate eight Ulster Titles and three All Ireland titles in two years

Wednesday, 26 April 2017

AUL Gac played host to the annual event in their community centre on Easter Tuesday.

The hall was packed and everyone there were treated to a first class night's entertainment.

A very special photo was taken during the evening which includes six of eight Ulster Champions, three All Ireland champions including recently crowned champion Niamh McDowell of Glasdrumman who all won titles in the last two Scór seasons and is hoping for more success in Belfast on 6 May.

All performed for the large crowd along with many other singers, dancers and the ever popular, Drumaness Léiriu.

Down County Cultural officer William Smith welcomed everyone, wished Clonduff, Cumann Pheadair Naofa and Burren good luck in the All Ireland final along with neighbours Carrickcruppin and Donal Morgan in Recitation and mentor Philip.

William also thanked the host club and wished them well as they continue to celebrate the last few weeks of their All Ireland crown.

Thanks to Delia, the Bean a ti, and anyone who helped make the night a great success.
