Bryansford blitzed by clinical Clone thumbnailKerri makes a great upfield run to set up another goal.

ANNALISH hosted Bryansford on Sunday to a very competitive game.

Annalish ... 7-4
Bryansford ... 3-5

This was a great win by the young girls .

Bryansford started off with a quick two-point lead, but the tight full back line of Aishling Fuscairdi, Kate Fegan and Niamh McKay closed them down to allow Annalish midfielders Tara McAnarney and Victoria McKay to take control and feed the ball into the half-forward line of Helen Vaughan, Mollie Sheppard and Aoife McNally.

Scores from Helen Vaughan and Aislinn McClean in full forward settled the game.

Half backs Caitlin McNeill, Rose McGivern and attacking Kerri McNeill/Keenan kept Bryansford under control by feeding Orla McNulty, Cliodhna McArdle, Jade Tumilty and Kayleigh Forsythe long balls to keep Annalish on the scoreboard.

At half time Ciara McAvoy came out of goals after a great first half and Mollie Sheppard stepped in, keeping Bryansford goal-less.

Young Niamh McClory arrived in second half after an U12 boys' match and added that extra push to finish the game.

Long-range goals from Aoife Campbell, Kerri McNeill/Keenan and Helen Vaughan saw the game in Annalish's hands.

Scorers: Cliodhna McArdle, Niamh McClory, Aislinn McClean, Helen Vaughan, Kerri McNeill/Keenan, Aoife Campbell and Ciara McAvoy.

Nine-a-side final Meanwhile the primary school nine-a-side final has been rescheduled for this Saturday in Castlewellan with time to be advised.

Best wishes to Miss Finnegan and her team ahead of the final against Conor Laverty's Kilcoo.
