Family ties as Annett brothers sign for Rathfriland Reserves

RESERVES manager Stevie Coulter is delighted to welcome both Joel and Zach Annett to Rathfriland FC again.

Both have been signed from Newry City with Joel already playing since Christmas, while Zach has still to make his debut for ‘The Whites’.

“The brothers will bring some extra strength in defence and with the pedigree both players have, it will greatly improve both the Reserves and in the future the 1st team at Iveagh Park,” said Coulter.

“I really am looking forward to working with these lads and with what we already have of young local talent the future looks bright!

These signings further boost the Annett family connection at the club and with a few other brotherly playing relationships recently making appearances, the future and what we are trying to introduce at rathfriland is great for the local community.

“All I can ask is that the brothers don’t fall out on the pitch, leave that to the home!

“Welcome from management team and current players,” he said.
