Ladies 'Sister Acts'

Having lost their opening game away to Bosco, the ladies regrouped and gave great back to back accounts and victories.

A gritty never say die victory over Rostrevor was followed by a mid week 4.17 to 1.05 slick display over Kilcoo.

The teamsheet read like Mary’s Family Fortunes competitors. Defensively the Mc Neill’s were fastest to the ball. Shauna, Kerri, Cushla and Shannon excelled and with the Devlin’s, Lisa and Ciara stopping scores and converting respectively either of midfield rock solid O’Hare sisters Catherine and Mary who fed Sevens Goal Star and sister Joanne ahead to set up scores. Again, either side of midfield the Pyers duo Caroline and Aileen intercepted netted with aplomb. Then we had the Kelly girls, Maeve and Grainne causing havoc. Adding to this was the dynamic running and trekking of Anna Welsh and Catriona McArdle whose rallying cries motivated her teammates. With Helen Vaughan and some other impressive underage stars getting game time, the Clone ladies are on the up.
