Police warn about dangers of 'misinformation'  as they say Old George tensions 'resolved'

THE Old George Hotel in Rathfriland has been at the centre of community tensions for much of this year, but police are now confident that these issues have been resolved.

The facility is currently being used as short term accommodation for those in urgent need of housing.

Due to the vulnerable status of the building's occupants, during a meeting with the Outlook, police representative, Sergeant Quinn told The Outlook that countering misinformation was one of the key priorities in resolving residents' concerns.
