£6,000 raised at Cranfield coffee morning for Cancer Research

NEWRY Cancer Research held its eighth annual coffee morning on Saturday, 26 July at Shanlieve Caravan Park, Cranfield.

An incredible total of £6002.18 was raised in support of Cancer Research UK, funding clinical trials here in Northern Ireland.

Speaking on behalf of Newry Cancer Research, Rosalind McCullough, Event Coordinator, said: “I am truly overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity. I would personally like to thank the management of Milne Holiday Parks, particularly the staff at Shanlieve Caravan Park, for their logistical support.

"Special thanks also go to the Commons Silver Band Newry for the wonderful musical entertainment, and to Hilary Ferris and Heather Laffin donating the beautifully knitted dolls.

"We are so grateful to everyone who donated goods and prizes, our fellow committee members, close friends and neighbours on the site, all who attended, and the volunteers who helped make the event such a great success.”
