John no slouch at Groucho GP

BANBRIDGE CC's winning streak continued on Saturday courtesy of John Ervine, who had an emphatic win in the C3 race at the Groucho GP, promoted by Orchard Wheelers in Richhill.

John's win means that the club now has six victories to date this season from five different riders across all three open race categories.

The event also saw multiple podium placings for the club, with Gavin Clarke close behind John in third place, while the ever consistent Aaron Parks picked up another second place in a a matter of days in the C2 race.

Fusco Cup

The club event held last Wednesday evening was the 15 mile TT circuit event, departing from the Rathfriland Road heading through Annaclone and into Katesbridge, returning via the Castlewellan Road.

The great weather saw over 30 riders take part, with visitors from Apollo, Square Wheels, Lagan Valley CC and Glens CC.

There were some fast times created with the weather in everyone's favour and everyone gave it their best. The fastest time of the night went to William McBride with a blistering 35:50 - a superb time.
